Apart from this being a very limited record, it first and foremost is a visual artwork by Markus Oberndorfer. The artwork has been printed on fine art paper with pigment ink, hand mounted using acid free optical foil and color graded in coordination with the original exhibition prints from the series. ‘Fragments Of New Borders’, the original artwork by Markus Oberndorfer, appeared in the exhibition ‘Architekt Raimund Abraham. Back Home’ in 2016. For the occasion Oberndorfer was invited to create a photographic intervention inspired by the projects and drawings of the Austrian architect, that guided the viewers through the exhibition as an additional narrative. ‘Architecture has to recollect the vulnerability of planet Earth. The vulnerability of the horizon as magical place of all places.’ Abraham once said. Oberndorfers photograph depicting the 3-dimensional shape of a sliced wave and staircase on a wall in dialogue with the tracks vocal snippets ‘Oxygen [inhale].
